The Road to San Antonio

June 26 – Thursday (Last Hot and Humid Day)

As we left New Orleans, it was bitter-sweet. We had done a great work for the Lord here, however, the heat and humidity was almost unbearable. As we traveled west to San Antonio, the floating roads started to appear once again as we went through the Bayous of Louisiana. As we traveled, we saw signs for parishes as well. As we left Louisiana, we saw a familiar site. A floating road, a bayou and a locals fishing.

As we crossed the boarder into Texas, a storm was brewing. We could see the lightening and hear the thunder in the distance. It was kind of strange because for 17 days we really have had very little rain to speak of. As we came into San Antonio, we could see the city in the distance.

By the time we arrived at the Alamo KOA, all signs of rain were gone. Although it is very hot in San Antonio (96), there was a heavy breeze and no humidity. It was one of those nice summer days. We pulled into our site then went swimming in the outdoor pool. The water was really refreshing, not like the pool in N.O.!
